Yes, we would modify our G-series slide switch. We could supply prototypes in about 3 weeks. There would be no tooling charges.

Equipto has a blower and fan nomograph for guidance which relates power to be dissipated, airflow and temperature rise. The favored cooling scheme is to draw in cool air at the bottom and taking advantage of convection exhausting hot air out the top.

The Challenger series is the most common choice for general purpose use. The Heavy Duty rack will hold up to 3,000 pounds; can be modified for NEBS seismic and/or EMI/RFI TEMPEST applications.

Typically 1 1/2" bigger in each direction is a rule of thumb, with exceptions for weight or dense packing. Stronger, but more expensive foam can be used for thinner sections. The easiest solution for you is to lend us the products you want packaged, we will then make a first article sample for you to approve.

Environmental concerns would be: outdoor use, indoor office, vibration, expected flex life, temperature swings, and whether electronic noise is present, etc. How many cables you need and when tells us how much automation, like molding can be used.

Yes, we make prototypes for progressive die tooling or short runs of parts. We use scaled down sheetmetal type tools to simulate progressive die parts. You can get parts quickly. You can change things that would take many weeks to change in progressive die tools. You can get a small quantity of parts.

Yes, the mixed layout D subminiature connector system would be ideal. In one connector shell you could combine RF, power and signal contacts. This connector would save a lot of panel space.
